Occasionally we are asked to supply different length and diameter pegs. Sometimes as a variation, occasionally to replace lost pegs or bring an antique loom back into usable condition.
Our standard peg loom pegs are 6 & 9mm diameter and about 123mm long. Older looms or those not of our manufacture can have different diameter and length of pegs.
Dales Looms Inkle loom pegs are from 3″ (76mm) to 5½” (14mm) long and 22.5mm diameter – those of other makers will probably differ.
Peg Looms –While there are less lifts involved in using longer pegs they’re a little little slower in use but do save time overall.
Inkle looms, 6 or possibly 7″ is a realistic maximum.
